Business owners normally opt for fake security cameras because it is considered to be a cheap replacement to that of the real security cameras. The basic reason behind using fake cameras is to create an artificial illusion that an active monitoring session is being made so as to curb down the criminals from their evil activities.

Although, these cameras are quite alike the real cameras, but, the fact is that these cameras are not real. There are many people who are of the thought that fake security systems do more bad and less good. Some of the facts that have come out as potential drawbacks of fake security cameras are:

• By using a fake system for security, you are always in the risk of someone revealing the secret of the camera being a fake. If this happens, it may result in a potential increase in the criminal activity and your security plan will come to a complete collapse.

• These cameras are also responsible for creating a false sense of security in the minds of the employees or the passersby. These people expect the authorities to recover any loss caused to them by any criminal activity by the help of these cameras. Since, these cameras are fake and cannot provide any potential help, this may lead the victims to create a sense of false security even in the presence of real cameras, thereby, making people not to believe in security cameras.

• The problem of fake sense of security may also sometimes, lead the company into a litigation process. Being an owner, it is your responsibility to prove security, to some extent, to your employees and customers. In this case, if you use fake security cameras, you will be found negligible in terms of providing security which in turns stands a legal liability against you.
